Free WIFI is now  available in Downtown Las Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience and surrounding one mile radius. The service is said to increase to a 3 mile radius within a year. The WIFI speeds are 1 Mbps and can be accessed on smart phones and laptops. I am not sure where You can take advantage of it on a laptop since there is no where to sit unless its in a restaurant. If You have been downtown You know that sitting around while not playing a slot machine or betting on a hand of blackjack would be considered loitering and You would be asked to move along. McDonalds has always had free WIFI and the new Free WIFI in the Fremont Street Experience is about the same speed, so if You are used to the McDonalds speed You will like this. The speeds are said to be increased to 3 Mbps within a year.
