Uber drivers are planing to strike October 16-18, 2015 all over Vegas and other Cities as well. Drivers that plan to break the picket line will be bombarded with fake request.
Do not bother trying to use Uber during these three days, there will most likely not be enough drivers to provide good service. Vegas is one of the better Cities for an Uber driver. But Orlando was a great City for an Uber driver AT FIRST, then Uber cut the rate three times in a matter of months and now Orlando is one of the worst places, expect the same to happen in Vegas. Vegas is a top 10 most visited City in America and Uber is very happy to be here but You can be sure that they are planing to cut the rate over and over like they did in Orlando, first they have to hook the drivers, get them used to it. The strike is aimed at the Cities that have rates under 1.5 per mile, that is the sweet spot for an Uber driver.
Uber and Lyft will be forced to raise the rate across the nation very soon, not because they want to take care of the driver but because the unemployment rate is going to force them to. No One will need to drive for Uber or Lyft because there will be so many other jobs they can get for much better pay. The only reason the few drivers are still driving at such a ridiculous rate is because of the flexible schedule. Other Companies will offer the same in the very near future.
