Many People were shocked to hear that Starwood Resorts Worldwide has purchased one of the towers from SLS to make it a “W” Resort. The Tower will have a separate lobby from the other two towers and will also have it’s own pool. The restaurants and two other towers will still be run by SLS. Starwood Resorts had made it known that they wanted a bigger presence on the Strip other than the Westin that is on Flamingo just off the Strip. But No One expected that they would go so far down the north end to the SLS. The SLS is located in probably the worst place on the Las Vegas Strip, even further north than Circus Circus and just a block away from Stratosphere.
